Employee Wellness Program (EWP)

The City of New Haven has a well-established program to increase health awareness and improve the quality of life for city employees and their families. This Employee Wellness Program is administered through a collaborative effort with health and wellness experts from Yale New Haven Hospital, Anthem Blue Cross I Blue Shield, and Behavioral Health Consultants, LLC. This program is completely voluntary, and HIPAA compliant. All personal health information is kept in strict confidence, and only handled by the health and wellness professionals of Yale-New Haven Hospital Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services. Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

EAP services in the district are provided by Behavioral Health Consultants, LLC. They include: educational seminars and training workshops on a variety of behavioral health and workplace issues. Seminars are usually one hour in length while workshops range from anywhere from 90 minutes to a half day. A number of topics, i.e. stress management, prevention of violence, etc. can be delivered either as a seminar or training workshop. The following seminars and workshops are available:
